I miss how everything was new the first time. I've tried to delete all my characters to give me that sense of a new fresh game but all it did was leave me with no characters :/ however I have gotten a few for months out of the game by doing so.

I also miss just joining up with random ppl for missions/quests. I actually made a lot of GW friends that way and didn't get yelled at when i wanted to try a rele off the wall build.

I also remember when the low level arenas were full of ppl. I tried to go in one today with my level 7 monk and there was nobody there except 2 lvl 20 assassins....

I miss the first holiday events when i felt special with my candy cane sword :P

I hate how ppl just get run thru missions now. It completely defeats the purpose of the game. I'd rather try it and lose but still have fun than just stay at the portal and wait until someone plays the game for me.

And lastly I miss only having low levels in pre. It really doesn't seem like pre anymore when you have level 20's running around with their mini pets and black dyed armor

I missed Sorrow Furnace type area in GW. It was both challenging and fun to play in.

I miss the thrill I used to get when buying elite armor. Nowadays I buy the amors for HoM and never even wear them, but back in the proph days it took alotta sf runs to sell the greens to get those armors.

I also miss GvG alot. I'm sure I could try to find my way back into it, but it just wouldn't be the same. Back then guilds fought for team honor and trying to get into the tournaments, being high ranked on the guild ladder was a status symbol, and people actually paid attention to the ladder. The current #1 nowadays hasn't even fought in almost a month.

Like so many others I miss PUGs. I met a lot of good people through PUGs that when we would be online we would help each other regardless of skill level, alliance, guild etc.

I also miss when majority of players were nice. I just started back playing regularly from a 15 month absence and am shocked at just how damn rude people are. I have been told almost everyday in the wintersday towns either to shut up when answering noob questions or have had explicit sexual comments made to me like ur mom gave me a hummer type bs.

I miss the times when more experienced players would take the time to teach you unknowns.

Overall I'd say the current crop of players really suck. Am I the only one who has noticed that the players today are jerks? What has caused the influx of a-holes? Sadly I avoid PUGs because of this and quest with heroes and the few friends that still play the game.

Like others I miss PUGs. I met a lot of good people through PUGs. They were the kind of people that when others were online they would get together and help each other out regardless of alliance, guild affiliation, or skill level. It didn't matter what build you ran most PUGs were just happy to have your profession represented.

I have just started to actively play GW again from a 15 month absence and why are so many people jerks? For the past couple days in almost every wintersday town I have been told to shut up when answering a noobs question about the event. Along with that when I have made statements others have commented back to me explicit sexual comments such as I'd say I got x dah dah dah and someone would pop up and say I got a hummer from your mom. WTF? Seriously? When did all the jerks start playing GW?

I don't do PUGs unless I have to. I hate being told what build I should use or how I should fight etc. Its sad because spending a few hours with a PUG trying to beat the same mission over and over again was actually fun. Anymore I just quest with the few (2) friends that still play the game otherwise I use henchies and heroes.

I miss having more experienced players take the time to teach you unknown things like successful run builds, practicing pvp'ing etc.

Also when I first started playing which was when NF came out warriors was always in demand. Now? Forget about it. I can sit my warrior in an area and repeatedly ask for a PUG for about 10 minutes before someone will bite.

The main thing I miss is all the great fun people I had the pleasure of questing with. After this past week I really don't want to waste my time with PUG's due to the arrogance, ignorance and general jerk attitudes many of them have.

I miss it when you had to spend 30 min preparing an 8-man team for a mission in normal mode. Now you just throw on 3 necro heroes and win.

I remember dancing with my monk in THK! Some monks were doing it until players bidded high enough to pick them up. I just did it for teh lulz.

And I miss PvP. I started doing it around mid '06 (after Factions), and I was never much good at it, but I had SO MUCH FUN!

A friends list that wasn't grey names.

Staying in the same, insanely active guild for a few years.

/qq dead game is dead, i know

Anyone remember reaching the Crystal Desert, then killed annihilated by the first massive group of mobs found directly outside The Amnoon Oasis?

Good times

Yeah, that was my first encounter with Hydras, and Meteor spikes.

After that happened I tried using Protective Bond. "If I just have enough energy to keep Bond up while i run past all the scary dragons" ... lol!

i miss the tactical briefings before a GvG and the "God make it so we fight some noob guild" chant over Teamspeak.

Also miss PUGs. Two folks would start arguing and then I try to step in and make em chill.

Also PUG related, I really miss the sensation of being in FoW, all having 40-60% DP and on the verge of restarting after hours of beating when I flash the candy canes and they're like "All RIGHT! we're back on!".

Good times. REALLY good.

EDIT: I also miss when the only stats a weapon had were the ones it came with. No inscriptions that is.

Remember the good old Inscribed Staves, req 9 domination, reduces cast of earth magic, reduces recharge of blood magic and Healing prayers +1(20%) - Just an example but I did have something like this back in the day.
